Updated: Jun 11, 2022

Although Essential Oil's, Herbs, and Floral's are natural and come from the earth, it is always in your best interest to take the time to research the benefits as well as possible side effects with long term or overuse.

Herbal Tea's are pretty much safe to consume but nature's medicine can at times interfere with medication that is prescribed by a Physician.

Example:

Hibiscus Flower Benefits

  • Studies have said that hibiscus in a tea, pill form, or tincture can help with lowering high blood pressure.

  • May help with blood sugar level control.

  • Contains vitamin A,C, D, B1, B2

  • Every 100 grams of Hibiscus vitamin C benefit is 20 times higher than oranges and tomatoes

  • Increased Stamina

  • Detox our bodies

  • Skin health

  • Urinary tract health

  • Gastric health

Over-consumption Possible Side Effects

  • Gas and bloating

  • May exaggerate Gout

  • Avoid if taking Chemo or Radiation treatment

  • May disturb electrolytes

  • Avoid if pregnant

  • Can cause drowsiness

Although Hibiscus has it's pros and cons, the pros outweigh the cons. Hibiscus is generally safe and can be considered a herbal medicine. It is recommended for 1 cup 1-3 petals for tea and 1 cup of tea is usually safe for everyday for most people. Over-consumption can affect medicines, reproductive system and so on. Over-consumption would be considered more than 1 cup on a daily basis.

REMEMBER TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

BEFORE CONSUMING OR TOPICAL USE OF HERB'S, FLORAL'S, OR ESSENTIAL OIL'S.

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE BENEFITS AS WELL AS THE SIDE EFFECTS.

CONSULT YOUR HOLISTIC PRACTITIONER OR MEDICAL DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING ANY HERBAL REMEDIES, HERBS MAY HAVE CONTRAINDICATION TO MEDICINES YOU MAY BE TAKING.
